Responsible for performing skilled technician work in the service/repair, alteration, installation and maintenance of all Telecoms-related systems.
Installation and configuration of Telecoms systems
Installation of cabling systems, data cables and RF cabling
Troubleshooting, fault-finding and problem-solving of various Telecoms and related equipment
Provide and complete SLA Maintenance within specified timeframe as agreed by client and report any abnormalities
Reporting on conditions of equipment and associated systems
Provide quality support service on site (client facing) and remotely
Training of end user and client personnel
Additional duties as directed by management
Installation and Repair of PABX Equipment.
A sound knowledge of Telecoms systems (Samsung, Mitel, Yeastar)
A sound knowledge of networking related to Telecoms systems (Wireshark, IP networking, IP routing, VOIP Troubleshooting, Remote Support principles)
A+ , N+ , MTCNA certification would be an advantage
Must have Linux, Asterisk and SQL skills.
Freeswitch, kamailio SBC and 3cx all are advantageous as part of the role.
Technical qualification would be advantageous (e.g. N3)
Good understanding of networking and equipment fundamentals (Ethernet, Cabling standards, TCP/IP)
Solid understanding of desktop operating systems, Web browsers and email clients
Ability to read and interpret relevant drawings
A minimum of two years’ experience in PABX Installations and Repairs
Driver’s License (Code B or Higher) required with own reliable transport (preferable)
Clear credit history
Clear Criminal record.
±40,000 depending on experience.
